Canada: Politics: Lib campaign redbook pre-released by Ezra Levant, nothing on "Notwithstanding Clause"
Yes, there was a leak in the Lib campaign apparatus. It leaked a bloody big redbook which is being disseminated to the nation by the conservative Western Standard website and blog, a lively news source of which a principal is Ezra Levant. You can get a PDF copy yourself by clicking my blog entry's headline and going to the Western Standard site.
There are many interesting statements and many very interesting absences from the Lib redbook: chiefly, I took note of the lack of any reference to the flash-proposal of the outgoing Prme Minister during the English-language TV debate to change the Canadian Constitution so as to drop the Notwithstanding Clause, mentioned here on refWrite yesterday by Russ Kuykendall, which is the main protection of the Canadian people thru Parliament (the House of Commons mainly) to fend off bizarre judgments of a rogue Supreme Court, so enamored of its own atavistic activism it puts swingers clubs before marriage.
In this day when Supreme Courts are political entitites which make laws in competition with Parliament, yet a Canadian Supreme Court politically savy enuff to send back to the Fed Govt its request that the Court settle for it the matter of the status of traditional marriage; and then when gmarriage was installed by this last Lib govt and Parliament was now in step with the Provincial court judgments demoting traditional marriage to favour the generic kind (one-shoe-fits-all "marriage"), then the Canadian Supreme Court went ahead and made orgiastic swing clubs the law of the land. But, a new Parliament still can rescind this favouritism toward the orgy-community, as well as rescind the gmarriage demotion of traditional 1woman1man union, restore it to its priority position, and find a different way to recognize (if it wants) other kinds of inimtate unions should it decide to do so. Martin wants to put a spanner in all this. His redbook has a long section on advancing cultural diviersity, but what that means is reducing three kinds of intimate unions before the law to gmarriage, and elevating orgy-communities to a special status of rights because the rogue Court stacked by him with no public or Parliamentary review or criteria has decided to do so.
Which bring us to the redbook's section on cultural diversity: There's no statement in this document that parents have the right to public educational-tax support to send their kids to the school of their choosing, or the older teenager's choosing, on the basis of educational philosophy and curricular appropriateness to the children or teenager in need of education to that familiy's values. It seems that "cultural diversity" is something reserved for swingers-club members, not to Christian parents in the selection of schooling for their kids. Or Jewish parents. Or Muslim parents. Or any group of parents associated to provide education on the basis of educational philosophy as a living experience of cultural diversity.
It's no secret that the Province of Ontario has a judgment against it for the establishment of religious bigotry by which it supports cultural diversity for just two educational steams - the secularist school establishment and the Roman Catholic school system. The former Conservative govt of Ontario sawt to rectify this and to comply with the judgment of the UN Human Rights panel which had criticized this discriminatory system of schooling, but waited until the last days of its regime to pass the legislation. A provincial Lib govt, however, came to power in Ontario, and the new compliance with the UN Human Rights Commission's panel was overturned by the provinical Liberals. The Fed govt does not have primary responsiblity in education in Canada, but it does have the power to supply Fed funding to communities denied cultural diversity in education. Obviously, the Fed Libs, despite the vaunted rhetoric of their redbook, will not overcome this bigoted structure of schooling in Ontario. Obviously, the Province of Ontario under its Libs will not overcome its own bigotry. Obviously, the new head of the UN Commission on Human Rights, Ontario's own Louise Arbour (former member of the Supreme Court) will not put the gears to Ontario nor to Canada for its educational bigotry and lack of equality in education.
Yet, the priority, distinctness, and definition of traditional marriage can be put aside - and swingers clubs given the same status as gmarriage. And if a swinger should conceive a child on one of those Court-enhanced swings, decide to conceive in stead of abort (which is freely available), yet undergo a conversion, she cannot decide the educational philosophy and religious underpinnings of the school to which she sends her child. This is the utopia of a befogged Liberalism whose redbook is little more than a propaganda vehicle to keep a certain group of bandits in office everlastingly. - Owlb
