Mel gets National Religious Broadcasters top honor

Mel Gibson, a Roman Catholic and the producer-director of the recent movie The Passion of Christ(which was the most outstanding film of 2004, but was nominated only for technical awards at the upcoming Oscars), has been awarded the Board of Directors Award by the largely-protestant National Religious Broadcasters at their closing banquest, Anaheim, California.
