Terrorism: Religion: Pressing the question, Is Islam a religion of peace?

refWrite's Politicarp has been invited to contribute to the provocatively-titled blog Religion of Peace?. Besides the frontpage link above, his first three RoP? contributions (December 1) are one discussing the oligopoly being established in the United Arab Emirates on the coast of the Arabian penninsula; another one relays the hot news about the tea-vendor terrorist who is part of a growing pattern at the bottom of the cup in Bangladesh; and the third one is on the Fatah Follies in Palestine. Read me and my colleagues contributing to this important blog launched by Disco Shaman to survey the news in a timely way, news collected and analyzed on the theme of active Islamofascism - not to be confused with peaceful Islam, nor the inert Islam of many inactive sympathizers and non-objectors to the terrorists' use of the religion, based on certain of its texts and traditions. Neo-Constantinian Christian-Democrats, like myself, do well to contemplate and compare the war-willingness among some Muslims, Christians, and Jews. There must be a normative way thru this thicket without collapsing into a default stance of pacifism which allows the terrorists to run amok. - Politicarp
