Semiotics: PoliticalAdsUSA: A conserative Repub runs vs left Dem, Barbara Boxer, for USA Senate -- the ad!

A consideration of the semiotics of a political ad moves the ad from something analyzable only politically, to something analysable also for its comprehensive sign-value: style, humour and wit -- among other wide-angled horizons experienced simultaneously ("simultaneity of norm-realization," Bernard Zylstra) that may move some of us to enjoy the ad while deploring the public-policy stances of the advertizer, in this case the candidate for the US Senate from California, going up against the incumbent Sen, Barbara Boxer. Some others of us may enjoy the ad, and approve the politics too. Even get out and vote in the November election!
