EconomicsUK: Govt Cutbacks: Tory-LibDem coalition slash govt agencies across the board

In a draconian measure, the new British govt has taken the reins of the sliding economic situation, deciding to cut all state agencies across the board.  Health facilities won't be cut in staff -- an exception.  This move follows quickly upon the G8 and G20 Summits in Huntsville and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  The Summits concluded that now is the time for austerity measures, and the UK helmsmen went home and set about following thru.  "Treasury orders cabinet ministers to brace themselves for 40% cuts" by Toby Helm, Jamie Doward, Anushka Asthana (Guardian UK).
