Pisteutics: Ethics: Christian Coalition seals its fate as a negative organization opposed to an authentic Christian politics

Joel Hunter--who was slated to take over the presidency of the r+twing Christian political formation called Christian Coalition--resigned before taking office. The resignation came on Nov23,2k6, it was stated in an Associated Press article, "President-elect of Christian Coalition resigns."

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Reverend elected to take over as president of the Christian Coalition of America said he will not assume the role because of differences in philosophy.

The Rev. Joel Hunter, of Longwood's Northland, A Church Distributed, said Wednesday that the national group would not let him expand the organization's agenda beyond opposing abortion and gay marriage.
